Ronald T. Michioka

Mr. Michioka joined the firm in October 2003 and concentrates his practice in the areas of products liability, medical malpractice, insurance coverage, premises liability, automobile liability and commercial litigation.


Mr. Michioka earned his Baccalaureate degree in Fine Arts in sculpture and painting, from the University of Hawaii, Manoa in 1974, and was a candidate for a Masters of Fine Arts in sculpture. He received a Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1988 where he was a contributing member of the COMM/ENT Journal of Communications and Entertainment.


Upon graduating from law school, Mr. Michioka practiced in New York City and the surrounding counties, initially with a boutique New York City medical malpractice firm, Heidell Pittoni Murphy & Bach, representing such clients as The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, the Hospital for Special Surgery, and Manhattan Eye, Ear and Nose Hospital. He was also associated with the New York City firm of Lester Schwab Katz & Dwyer, regional counsel for Honda Motors, N.A., and counsel for clients such as Chrysler Motors, Kawasaki Motors, Coachmen Industries, E.R. Carpenter, Pratt & Lambert, G.E., and Westinghouse. At Lester Schwab, he also specialized in insurance coverage for clients such as A.I.G., Fireman’s Fund, The Travelers and Generali, U.S.

Mr. Michioka diversified his practice to the areas of premises liability, automobile liability, real estate and commercial transactions and litigation with the firms of Roberts & Michioka and Puglisi & Michioka.


Mr. Michioka is licensed to practice before the state and federal trial and appellate courts in New York and New Jersey since 1988 and was admitted to the Hawaii bar in 2002. He is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, and a former member of the American Bar Association, the Association of the Bar of the City of New York, the New York State Trial Lawyers Association, and the Nassau County Bar Association.
