Diane W. Wong

Ms. Wong joined the firm in 1984 and concentrates her practice in the areas of professional malpractice, insurance law, civil litigation, and appeals. She has also done work in the areas of probate, estate planning, and business law. Ms. Wong became a partner in 1990.


Ms. Wong attended Stanford University, where she majored in Chinese and received a Bachelor of Arts degree in 1975. She began her legal education at Hastings College of Law. She graduated from Northwestern University School of Law and received a Juris Doctor degree in 1978. At Northwestern she served on the Julius H. Miner Moot Court Board.


From August 1978 to July 1979, Ms. Wong served as a law clerk to the Honorable Bert T. Kobayashi, Associate Justice, Hawaii Supreme Court. From August 1979 to July 1984, she was an associate with the law firm of Chee, Oshiro, Williams & Slaton (formerly known as Chee, Lee, Oshiro & Williams). Ms. Wong then joined the firm as an associate in August of 1984.


Ms. Wong was admitted to the Hawaii Bar in 1978 and the California Bar in 1979. Ms. Wong has also been admitted to the United States District Court for the District of Hawaii, and the NinthCircuit Court of Appeals. She is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, the State Bar of California, and the American Bar Association.
