Mr. Goto joined the firm in October 1993 and concentrates his practice in the areas of appellate advocacy, products liability and professional malpractice. He became a partner with Ayabe, Chong, Nishimoto, Sia & Nakamura in 1999, and is currently a general partner in the law firm of Chong, Nishimoto, Sia, Nakamura & Goya, LLLP, a limited liability law limited partnership.

Education

Mr. Goto attended the University of Hawaiʽi at Mānoa, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science, with Distinction. He was a member of Phi Beta Kappa, Phi Kappa Phi Honor Society, Phi Eta Sigma Honor Society and Hui Poʽokela, University of Hawaiʽi Mortar Board. He attended Loyola of Los Angeles Law School, Loyola Marymount University, on a full tuition scholarship, and was awarded his Juris Doctor degree in 1993. Mr. Goto also served as a member of the Loyola of Los Angeles Law Review.

Upon graduation, Mr. Goto joined the firm in 1993 where he has developed a practice focusing primarily in personal injury, professional malpractice, workers’ compensation and appellate practice and procedure. Mr. Goto is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association. He is licensed to practice before all state and federal courts in Hawaiʽi, and is licensed to appear before the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals.
