Education
Ms. Okazaki is a graduate of the University of Hawaii - Manoa with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science
and a minor in French. She attended the University of Houston Law Center, graduating in 1988. She was admitted to the Hawaii Bar in 1990.
Experience
Upon admittance to the Hawaii Bar, Ms. Okazaki associated with a law firm that handled personal injury litigation including
motor vehicle cases, premise liability, multi-district breast implant, and medical malpractice. She then associated with an insurance defense
firm and handled tort litigation cases, legal malpractice, and real estate.
Affiliations
Ms. Okazaki is a member of the Hawaii State Bar Association, has been a past Board member of the Honolulu Sunrise Rotary
(Board member from 1999 to 2000 and 2000 to 2001), a Board member of Read to Me International (2000 to the 2014), a Board member of the Hawaii
Women Lawyers (2002-2015; Treasurer in 2005-2006, 2006-2007), Board member of the Hawaii Women’s Legal Foundation since 2005 and Fundraising
Chair in 2006 and 2007, a Board member of the YWCA of Oahu (2003 to 2006), a Board member of the Organ Donor Center of Hawaii (Board member from
2007-2010), Founding Board member of the Friends of the Family Specialty Courts since 2008, a commissioner of the Hawaii Elections Commission
(since 2007) and board member of the Hawaii State Bar Association from 2016 to the present.
